Case Law Update – 2019 Quarter 3

Categories: , Tag:

The third calendar quarter of 2019 provides so much for us to learn from the 1st DCA and its workers’ compensation cases: When will an attorney be sanctioned for signing a Motion for Protective Order? When can claimant’s forego job searches and still receive TPD benefits? Or refuse a job offer and still receive TPD? Or take time off work for personal reasons – and still receive TPD? And – how sharp are we on “estoppel,” or “interlocutory appeals,” or the scope of EMA discussions with a JCC? There is always something new in cases and new to learn! Lunch and Learn With Tim continues its quarterly review of all the workers’ compensation cases that have been published by the First District Court of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court. What better way to spend a lunch than to feed on the latest serving of these Courts?

Credit available for adjusters (CEU’s), attorneys and paralegals (CLE’s and board certification credit), and HR professionals (PDC from SHRM).
